JUNE-JULY 2011 ECLIPSE UPDATE
Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I sent out my astrology update due to travels in Egypt, but this month is very special as we have three eclipses coming up!!
Every month we have the new and full moons, but eclipses have a “fated” feeling to them. There is something inescapable and inevitable about the consequences.. a finality..no going backwards… But they do get us to move out of our comfort zones, so we can evolve and grow to our next stage of development. Three major eclipses ( 2 solar and a total lunar eclipse) fall within the next 30 days pointing to an incredibly important “galactic window”!!
During an eclipse, the light of the moon blocks the Sun. The Sun is the source of all light and life. What happens at the moment when the electromagnetic waves being emitted to the Earth are interrupted? A solar eclipse with its interruption of electromagnetic support facilitates a greater shift in our human “programming”; we are UPGRADED. Our spinal column is the antenna; the focal point for metamorphosis .The more prepared we are to be receptive to this upgrade of our biochemical circuitry, the easier it is to change our personal magnetic field and accelerate the lag time between thought and manifestation. In short: we create our reality…with exclamation points!
On a collective level, we will all discover new meanings to the words “quantum shift” as our human consciousness processes highly accelerated levels of light particles being beamed to us from the cosmos. Hold onto your Third Eyes! On a more personal level, these solar and lunar events will shake you out of any complacency providing you with an array of surprising new opportunities. Even, if at times, it feels like you are being forced to do so, you will soon see yourself in a new “Light”.
NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE:
The New Moon at 11 degrees Gemini on June 1st is a partial Solar Eclipse occurring at 5:03pm EDT. This is the first of the triad of eclipses and a “softer” one at that, as it does not fall within the Grand Cross Pattern of the other two (more on the Cardinal Grand Cross with the Full Moon Lunar eclipse of June 15).
The sign Gemini rules the mind, communication and information streams. It is the “Messenger” of the zodiac. It is a mutable, changeable sign, like quicksilver. Be prepared for new imprinting, especially in regard to your relationship with “Time” and “Timing”, as this New Moon exactly trines Saturn in Libra (the astrological Ruler of Time). This is a powerful aspect for getting challenging tasks completed on the one hand, as well as intuiting and conceptualizing new ways of doing things on the other. There is new imprinting going on in the brain as our perception takes a great leap forward. Gemini’s “message” is that there are multiple levels of perception, and all versions of reality are in the eye of the observer. If we change our perception (view), we change our reality.
New Imprinting = New Timeline. Our “old” belief systems, emotional fixations, and methods of utilizing information, and even old “prophecies and predictions” are being upgraded. Get ready for warp speed ahead!
PLANETARY ASPECTS:
Neptune, the planet of multidimensional consciousness and visionary creativity begins its retrograde phase in Pisces on June 2nd. This is a cosmic “eraser” that will seem to dissolve left brain logic as it emphasizes our “Oneness” with all of creation. Neptune travels its retrograde course with a partner, the asteroid, Chiron (“wounded healer”) and further emphasizes the “bridging” of the physical and non-physical realms. Quantum physics will become mainstream as more and more of humanity gets a “peek” behind the veil. Between June 2nd and November 10, we may get glimpses into the world of Spirit (on a mass level), which could be extremely enlightening or extremely disconcerting depending on your perspective. World religions may need to release much fear and trauma before embracing one another in a new way. Problems with oil and the oceans may have to be revisited before new technology is implemented. Right brain visionary solutions will come to replace automatic, robotic thinking. According to psychic prophet and healer, Edgar Cayce, the lands of ancient Lemuria and Mu will rise again. The “rising” of these lands can be symbolic of our re-accessing ancient records and indigenous wisdom teachings and the re-writing of the earth’s history as we know it. In addition, the elders of many ancient traditions, Mayan, Hopi, Tibetan, Egyptian, say that we are in the process of completing a 26,000 year cycle which involves a dimensional shift from the limited perception of duality to Oneness. In a more unified state of consciousness, we see through the illusion of opposites…no one is separate, better or worse. There are just different frequencies of light to contend with.
On June 4th, Jupiter begins a new 12 year cycle in the Earth sign, Taurus. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Physical security and pleasure are keynotes of Taurus. Therefore, on a positive note, we may expect a greater reverence for Mother Nature and her bounty, as well as an increased interest in creativity and the arts. Food and food consumption, farming, and the correct use of the earths’ resources become major issues as collective humanity must face the feeding, housing, and nurturing of large masses of people over the next years. Will we be able to sustain and grow our own organic food? Will we depend more and more on genetically altered food? Will fast/fat food continue to “expand” us to into an increasingly obese “super-sized” society? Emphasizing the “food” theme, the asteroid Ceres (the matriarchal Mother Goddess of the Grain) is also in the sign of Pisces signaling that this is THE time to reconnect with the Earth Mother and our feminine consciousness. Raping and pillaging the earth and her resources are no longer options. These three eclipses are last effort “wake up” calls before October 2011. There are no “fast fixes”. At this point in humanity’s journey, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. This is a great time to dive in and try your hand at organic gardening, if you do not already do so. If you can’t garden, support your local “green” markets. The more we declare our intention for a healthier lifestyle, the more we will bring it about. There have been increasingly intense weather patterns crippling entire areas of this country, (more on that with next month’s eclipse pattern). Within the ashes of those devastatingly tragic events, (the Pluto and Uranus square), there exists the potential for birthing an entirely new paradigm. With Mars, Venus and Mercury all in the earthy, feminine sign of Taurus “love of nature” should be our axiom. Is it possible to build (or rebuild) eco-friendly communities where neighbors support and help each other…..Communities based on “sharing the bounty” rather than survival, lack and greed. (On a personal level, wherever you have Taurus placed in your birth chart, Jupiter will be making its “expansion”. If any of your personal planets or ascendant are in the sign of Taurus, you can expect some very positive changes).
PERSONALLY SPEAKING:
A Solar eclipse emphasizes the beginning of a new cycle. If your birthday falls within a few days of June 1st, this is a BIG year for you…the accent is more on starting than finishing. Where the Sun and Moon fall in your chart (the eclipse points) will illuminate the areas where things need to shift focus, end or come to completion in this cycle for you. If you don’t have any personal planets falling in mid degrees of Gemini or Sagittarius, you will not feel this eclipse as much. Everyone does not necessarily feel the effects of an eclipse the same way. If an eclipse falls on or near your birthday (within 3 or 4 days) your year promises to be an eventful one. You can feel the effects or messages brought by an eclipse anywhere from a few days to 6 months depending on where it falls. During a Solar Eclipse the electromagnetic waves which emanate from the sun to the earth are being interrupted. Your body will definitely feel different, if you are sensitive. You may feel more tired, or just more “out of it”. This is normal; just nature taking its course. Eat solar foods: fresh fruits and juices containing vitamin C and drink lots of water. The idea is to prepare your body for a “shift” in awareness over the next few weeks. You may notice that your pets are also a bit “jumpy” or restless. The areas of the body most affected by the sign of Gemini are the hands, arms and lungs. Sagittarius: hips, thighs and upper leg area. Yoga, swimming, walking and any type of deep breathing/meditation will definitely help your energy circuitry to align during this eclipse.
Cell phones, computers and technology may be “in flux” during an eclipse (especially Gemini eclipse, as it rules communications).
CREATING YOUR NEW MOON INTENTION:
In ancient days, Solar eclipses were greatly feared. They symbolized the rise and fall of kings and kingdoms. In modern times, we may understand more on the scientific level, but we are still affected the same way. Eclipses herald the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another. New Moons are the perfect time to declare your intention for creating your new reality. It is a “seeding” time, which may bear fruit during the next Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (June 15). This is a good time to find some quiet meditation time for journal work or automatic writing. Since Gemini is the writer’s sign, writing down your New Moon intentions works well with the energy. Find a quiet space to meditate, light a white or yellow candle (or both). Ask your guides to assist you in manifesting your Spiritual vision and Life Purpose….watch your dreams for answers. Use the energy of this New Moon Eclipse in Gemini to thank Spirit for what you have manifested in your life so far; to help you redefine your “mission statement” for the future; and to aid in releasing what no longer serves your higher purpose.
Personally Speaking:
Solar eclipses always herald an inevitable ending, as well as the potential for a new beginning. As one cycle closes, another begins. Just have faith in the future without becoming a victim of the past. If the Universe is giving you signals to “Let go”; it is probably in your best interest to do so over the next 3 to 6 months. Whatever you try to hold onto (situations, relationships, possessions, feelings, habits,) will become more of a cosmic liability than an asset, if they are not part of your next cycle. This is not to say that you must lose everything you value or love; however, we are now being called on to make very mature decisions regarding our priorities, spiritually as well as materially. If your decisions are being made based on love and compassionate service, there is nothing of real value that can ever be lost or taken away. On the psychological level, we are integrating male/female polarities. In the Jungian sense, we are “marrying” the animus and anima becoming whole. In ancient Egyptian cosmology, the Eye of Ra becomes one with the Eye of Horus. Both the Sun and the Moon (the LUMINARIES are joined together...spirit and psyche. In those moments of perceived darkness, we begin a new cycle in the spiral of our evolution. A solar eclipse is a breach in the electromagnetic flow from sun to Earth. We are being “rebooted” in our biochemical circuitry…upgraded to the next level of consciousness.
